are going absolutely crazy wondering how GPS works. They can't sleep,
they cry for days on end... it's true.
And now, with the release delayed until the end of this week we're going
to attempt to calm the magic masses by leaking just a few details.
What GPS is not: As stated in the ad, GPS is a system that does not rely on electronics and therefore uses no batteries. Yes there are gimmicks involved and they are mechanical in nature. They just don't use batteries.
What GPS is: A of methods that allows you to know which objects are held in the hands of a spectator, inside boxes or under playing cards. Certain gimmicks are required. Included among them are:
A tiny, stealthy mechanical device the size of a Skittles candy that actually attaches to your hand but remains invisible to the audience throughout the performance. It allows you to detect what is being held in someone's hand. The cue is purely visual and is transmitted live in real time. No vibrations or noises are involved.
You also get the gimicks that allow you to tell the difference between a coin and a bill or a candy, lip balm or other small object. While it's completely concealed in their hand!
Lastly, you receive a piece of jewelry that has been specially designed to enable you to divine the location of hidden objects. (And it's not a ring.)
So it it easy to do?
Compared to wiring up your body or recharging batteries before every performance, this system is as easy as it gets! This is the one you'll take with you to the coffee shop or the business meeting as well as your shows. Because you only really need 3 very special small props and all 3 are disguised as normal, everyday objects.
