Key Scissors - Bazar de Magia

I just got my key BDM scissors Saturday. They look nice and the gimmick works great, unfortunately I planned on using them with my rope magic, and found that they cut paper find but rope is like cutting butter with a hammer.
on a scale of 1 to 5 I rate it a 2. You see I purchased this product to use with my rope routines which includes cutting the ropes. And at the price of the scissors I believe they should come sharp enough to cut rope, specially the magic rope that we magicians use.
